Our story

Shoreline Automotive is owned by Michael and works out of Unit 6 at 234 Birmingham Street, a few minutes from the Gardiner and Lake Shore Blvd W. It's an independent shop, not a franchise and not a dealership, so the decisions about your car get made in the building it's parked in.

The work covers the everyday and the bigger jobs: brakes, safeties, exhaust and suspension, diagnostics and maintenance, through to collision and body repair. The shop is open seven days, with weekday evenings until 8 p.m., so a repair doesn't have to cost you a day off work.

What our licences mean for you

In Ontario, 310S, 310T and 310B are provincial Certificates of Qualification. Each one is earned through an apprenticeship and a provincial exam, so it tells you the person working on your car has been trained and tested for that kind of work.

310S, automotive service technician
Your car, SUV or light truck: brakes, engines, steering, suspension, electrical and the safety inspection itself.
310T, truck and coach technician
Heavier vehicles too, so bigger pickups and work trucks are in qualified hands.
310B, auto body and collision damage repairer
Body work and collision repair by a certified body technician, not a general mechanic doing it on the side.

How we work

Nothing gets done until you say yes. Here's what that looks like.

  1. We find the problem

Then we explain it in plain English, and show you the worn part if you'd like to see it.

  2. You get a price for each item

What needs doing now, what can wait, and what's optional, each with its own price.

  3. You decide, line by line

We do what you approve and nothing else.

  4. No surprise add-ons

If we find something else along the way, we stop and call you before touching it.
